Terms of Use
Effective September 7, 2026
These Terms of Use apply when you access or use Second Sight A.I., including its website, installable web app, Android app, AI scanners, saved projects, Community, feedback features, subscription features, and Construction Site tools. By using Second Sight A.I., you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who may use Second Sight A.I.
You must be legally able to agree to these terms and complete purchases where you live. ReUse Kids is an adult planning feature for parents, guardians, and educators. It is not intended for children to create their own accounts or submit personal information.
2. What the service provides
Second Sight A.I. provides informational tools that may identify items, suggest reuse or disposal options, estimate resale value, help organize spaces, explain an object's likely original purpose, provide project or jobsite planning ideas, and let users discuss reuse projects and questions. Results depend on the submitted photo, description, location information, available data, community contributions, and automated model output.
3. AI results and accuracy
AI, marketplace, and community-provided information may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Confidence scores and value estimates are not guarantees. Verify an item's identity, condition, compatibility, recall status, market value, and safe use using manufacturer information, qualified professionals, applicable codes, and reliable local sources before acting.
4. Safety and high-risk activities
Second Sight A.I. does not replace professional judgment, workplace procedures, training, permits, manufacturer instructions, safety data sheets, building or electrical codes, medical advice, emergency services, or legally required supervision. Do not perform a task beyond your training or physical ability. Stop if conditions are unsafe, use appropriate personal protective equipment, isolate hazardous energy where required, and contact a qualified professional or emergency service when needed.
5. Accounts and security
You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. One person may not use the service to bypass access limits, abuse promotions, or interfere with another account.
6. Photos, prompts, saved content, and Community posts
You keep ownership of photos and other content you submit. You grant Second Sight A.I. and its service providers a limited licence to host, copy, transmit, analyze, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, improve, and provide the requested service. Content you intentionally publish to Community or through a public share link may be displayed to and shared by other users while it remains public.
Private scanner photos are separate from Community posts and are not automatically published when you create a Community post or share generated scan results. Do not upload or publish content you do not have the right to use, confidential workplace information, illegal content, private personal information, or identifiable photos or personal information about children.
7. Acceptable use and Community moderation
Do not use Second Sight A.I. to break the law, harm people or property, defeat safety controls, create deceptive listings, infringe intellectual property, harass or threaten others, publish unlawful or dangerous content, spam the Community, probe or disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, scrape the service at scale, reverse engineer protected systems, or obtain unauthorized access.
Community posts and replies may be reported and reviewed. Second Sight A.I. may hide, remove, or restrict content or accounts that violate these terms, create a safety/security risk, disclose inappropriate personal information, or materially interfere with the service or other users. Community advice is user-generated and should be independently verified before you rely on it.
8. Plans, purchases, refunds, renewals, and cancellation
All Second Sight A.I. purchases and subscription payments are final and non-refundable once charged. You may cancel an automatically renewing subscription at any time to stop future renewal charges. Cancellation does not refund, reverse, or prorate a charge that has already been processed.
- Prices, plan features, billing period, and applicable taxes are shown before checkout.
- Monthly, yearly, and Construction Standalone subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
- You may cancel an eligible subscription at any time. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the next renewal date.
- After cancellation, access normally continues through the remainder of the billing period that has already been paid. There is no refund or account credit for unused days, partial billing periods, or simply deciding not to continue using the service.
- Canceling stops future automatic renewals; it does not retroactively cancel a completed payment.
- Web purchases are processed by Stripe. Eligible web subscriptions can be canceled through the Second Sight A.I. account controls provided in the pricing area.
- Google Play app subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing and can be managed or canceled through Google Play. Google Play purchases remain subject to any mandatory Google Play purchase or refund rules that apply to the transaction.
- A Lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-renewing purchase that provides non-expiring access to the applicable Second Sight A.I. tier while that service is operated and the purchasing account remains in good standing. Lifetime purchases are also final and non-refundable once charged, except where a refund is legally required.
- Promotional free months, bonus days, trials, discounts, or other promotional benefits have no cash value and do not create a right to a refund or cash credit.
- The no-refund policy applies to the fullest extent permitted by law. If applicable law, Google Play, or another payment provider requires a refund or other remedy that cannot legally be waived, that mandatory right will still apply.
9. Third-party services and links
Second Sight A.I. relies on third-party services, including hosting, authentication, storage, AI model, payment, analytics, marketplace, and device/social-sharing providers. External sites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. Second Sight A.I. is not responsible for third-party listings, products, availability, content, or decisions.
10. Second Sight A.I. ownership
Second Sight A.I.'s software, branding, interface, and original service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of Second Sight A.I. or third-party materials.
11. Availability, changes, and suspension
The service may change, experience interruptions, or be unavailable while maintenance, security work, provider changes, moderation, or product updates occur. Features may be added, revised, or retired. Second Sight A.I. may suspend or terminate access for material violations, fraud, security threats, unlawful use, abusive Community activity, or non-payment, subject to applicable law.
12. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Second Sight A.I. is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees that every AI result, Community contribution, or marketplace result will be accurate, safe, suitable, complete, or continuously available. You remain responsible for inspecting items, assessing conditions, following laws and instructions, and deciding whether to act on a result.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Second Sight A.I. and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service. Any direct liability will be limited to the amount you paid Second Sight A.I. during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Governing law and consumer rights
These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without removing any mandatory rights or protections available to you where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Second Sight A.I. changes. The effective date above will be revised when updated terms are published. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
